Online Computer Training and CertificationThe A+ Certification is sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA), and certifies the competency of entry-level computer service technicians in the computer industry. Anyone who wants an internationally-recognized credential as a competent entry-level computer service professional can take the A+ examination. The program is backed by major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers and publications. Earning A+ Certification means that the individual possesses the knowledge, skills and customer-relation skills essential for a successful entry-level computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The test covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies, but are not related to any vendor-specific products.
The two exams necessary for completion of the Certification are the Core/Hardware Exam and the DOS/Windows Exam. When both the Core/Hardware and the DOS/Windows portions
are passed, the candidate receives the A+ designation. The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is Microsoft’s premier credential for professionals who analyze the business requirements for a system architecture, design solutions, deploy, install, and configure architecture components, and troubleshoot system problems. The new Microsoft Windows 2000 track, on which all MCSEs will have to re-qualify by the end of 2001, is designed for information technology professionals working in what Microsoft defines as “a complex computing environment of medium to large organizations.” It requires passage of five core and two elective exams. New to the Win2K track, Microsoft now says, “A Windows 2000 MCSE candidate should have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system.” MOUS - Microsoft Office User SpecialistThe Power of ProofMOUS certification is the universally accepted standard assessment of desktop proficiency for the Microsoft office suite of applications.
